Since November, DeNooyer Chevrolet has been recognizing local organizations making a difference in the Capital Region, with our Grassroots Giveaway. Over the past 10 months we have celebrated a variety of organizations, awarding them with some free promotion and a donation of $4,500 to each. This is our final month and we are excited to announce our August recipient of the Grassroots Giveaway is Community Miracles in Action!

Community Miracles in Action (CMA) invests in the future of our communities by providing education programming and support to your in Cohoes and surrounding areas. Programs and services are offered free of charge to youth members in grades 6 through 12 and cover a variety of interests. Additionally, CMA provides access to committed mentors and role models for kids to learn from and receive guidance on academics and life skills including goal-setting and achievement, as well as good work attitudes and habits, and conflict resolution skills. Academic projects and programs include homework help, testing prep, music and DJing, gardening, recycled and upcycled art, electronics and circuits, and writing, poetry and bookmaking.

Community Miracles in Action is dedicated to providing youth with a place to go for support in school, activities that interest them, and to help grow healthy skills for life. The development of social skills is also a large component of the work  at CMA, as youth work with others who have similar interest on projects and programs, teaching them teamwork and conflict resolution skills.

DeNooyer Chevrolet is honored to be celebrating Community Miracles in Action and to award them with $4,500 towards their programming. CMA will also receive a spot on FLY 92.3 and promotion on the DeNooyer Chevrolet Facebook page. Learn more about CMA and their programs throughout the month by joining us on Facebook.
